how to work with java programming language with Vista as OS?

i ve heard that Windows Vista has many problems arising working with different programming languages. I am going to use vista along with java for my studies. is there any problem working with vista. If any what is the possible solution.

Java is a highly platform-independent language. Therefore, you should have little to no problem using it on Vista.

If you are going to use NetBeans IDE you may face the same problem I've faced in debugging java classes with NetBeans IDE on Vista.

if u r not going to use any IDE like eclipse or netbeans.. no problems.. simply install the jdk required from the sun micro systems site, install set system paths and enjoy..!!

I have Vista with JDK 1.6.0_14 installed and it has never had a problem. People who still complain about Vista have either never used it or they have no idea what they're doing.
